Warranty Terms
This page explains the warranty terms for HorseHalo™ products, including your rights under applicable consumer laws and the coverage provided by the optional HorseHalo™ 1-Year Protection Plan. Please read carefully to understand what is covered, how claims work, and any limitations that apply.
1. Standard Legal Warranty (EU Consumer Guarantee)
All customers within the European Union are entitled to a 2-year legal guarantee in accordance with EU consumer protection laws.
This legal warranty covers:
- Manufacturing defects
- Electrical defects present at the time of delivery
- Product faults not caused by accident, misuse, or normal wear
The legal warranty does not cover:
- Accidental damage
- Drops, impacts, or crushing
- Damage caused by barn dust, dirt, or moisture
- Battery wear over time
- LED or red-light degradation
- Damage caused by improper use or unauthorized repair
- Normal wear and tear
Under EU law, customers may request repair or replacement if a defect is confirmed to have existed at the time of delivery.
2. HorseHalo™ 1-Year Protection Plan (Optional)
The HorseHalo™ 1-Year Protection Plan is an optional paid extended warranty that provides broader coverage than the standard legal guarantee.
It is designed specifically for barn environments and regular equine use.
3. What the Protection Plan Covers
The HorseHalo™ 1-Year Protection Plan allows one (1) replacement claim per device within 12 months of delivery for issues caused by:
- Accidental drops or impacts
- Barn dust, dirt, or stable-related exposure
- Battery failure or reduced battery performance
- LED or red-light malfunction
- Motor or internal electronic failure from normal use
- Device no longer functioning as intended during regular operation
Coverage applies to one covered incident per device only.
4. What the Protection Plan Does Not Cover
To keep the plan fair and affordable, the following are not covered:
- More than one claim per device
- Intentional damage or misuse
- Water submersion or liquid damage
- Fire damage
- Theft or loss
- Cosmetic damage that does not affect functionality
- Damage caused by unauthorized repairs or modifications
5. Claim Limits & Plan Fulfillment
- Each Protection Plan applies to one (1) device only
- Each device is eligible for one (1) replacement claim
- Once a replacement has been issued, the Protection Plan is considered fulfilled and expired for that device
- The Protection Plan does not transfer to the replacement device
6. How to File a Claim
To file a warranty or Protection Plan claim:
- Contact HorseHalo Support with your order number
- Provide a brief description of the issue (photos or video may be requested)
- Our team will review and confirm eligibility
- If approved, return instructions will be provided
The defective device must be returned to us for verification before a replacement is issued.
7. Shipping & Returns
- Customers are responsible for return shipping costs for warranty and Protection Plan claims
- If a product arrives dead on arrival (within 7 days of delivery), HorseHalo will cover return shipping
- Replacement devices are shipped once the defective item has been received and verified
8. Relationship to Legal Warranty
For EU customers, the standard 2-year legal guarantee applies regardless of whether the Protection Plan is purchased.
The HorseHalo™ 1-Year Protection Plan is optional and provides additional coverage for accidental damage, barn-use wear, battery decline, and LED issues not covered by the standard legal warranty.
9. Non-Transferability
All warranties and Protection Plans are non-transferable and apply only to the original purchaser and the original device.
